Global Warming/ Coastal Erosion

Waves generated during an autumn storm undercut tundra bluffs on the coastline of Barter Island near the Inupiuq village of Kaktovik on the Beaufort Sea, causing the bluffs to collapse into the sea and exposing permafrost to be melted by further wave action and the sun.
