Alaska. Four fishermen react casually (one taking a picture) while two juvenile Brown Bears and an adult sow (Ursus arctos) move along the south bank of the Upper Kenai River near the Russian River Ferry in June. Bears routinely forage the banks of this highly popular fishery for easy pickings of salmon on stringers or for human food let unattended. Bear/human interaction is problematic and often leads to habituation, with negative results for the bear.
