Two bright red sockeye salmon swimming in shallow water in Funnel Creek

Alaska. A pair of Sockeye Salmon (Oncorhynchus nerka) swimming close to each other in shallow water near the edge of Funnel Creek in Katmai National Preserve in August. Both fish have the typical spawning colors of bright crimson bodies and green heads.
