Alaska Winter hoar frost trees

Alaska. In winter, frigid cold temperatures combined with foggy conditions, deposits freezing moisture known as Hoar Frost on the branches of cottonwood and black spruce trees. Eery and ghostly white, they are beautiful against the clear blue sky in the virgin forests.
